HP 49G hardware emulator
HP 49 G emulator for android.- Full memory (even flash), port 0, 1 and 2.- ROM 1.19-6.- Automatic save and load of state (ram and flash).- HP49G like skin or HP50G like skin.- Landscape or Portrait mode.- Multi touch keyboard support, permits shift down while pressing another key (ON+C, even ON&UP ... are ok).- Load/save to/from stack level 1 support (only object in IRAM).- Speed from x1 upto x20 (max depend on your android device, but is faster than a HP50G).- HP82240 compatable printer as serial printer (touch right part of calc lcd) (in PRTPAR, set length of line as 23 or 24 characters, default is 80 producing bad formatting).- Flags help, full commands help (I hope so) (touch left part of calc lcd).- Clock synced with android time (Timers emulated, clock and ticks are ok).- Smooth hardware scrolling emulated.- Should work with at least 800x480 screen.- BEEP command support (keyclick is not well emulated) (broken on android 4.3 see http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=58113) To load a file:1 - the first time, do "menu", "tool", "load on stack", and abort, this will create the right directories2 - then download (from http://www.hpcalc.org/ for example) the raw file you want to load and put it in sdcard/go49g/files with a file manager (i.e. Linda manager or Ghost commander)3 - on kitkat device import/export is now at /Android/data/o2s.emul.hp49g/files instead of /go49g4 - next do "menu", "tool", "load on stack" your file should appear, choose it5 - as told by the pop up, now press ON key to refresh stack display6 - et voilà , your file is loaded on the stack, now do what you want with it 7 - if you dont know what to do with it, get and read an HP49 manual !Actually:- no grayscale support.- serial only as printer.Avoid checking force gpu rendering in developer option in android 4.x prefs, this leads to graphic problems.On S5 devices, long press the right hardware button to get the menu.More help and infos at the webpage:http://sites.google.com/site/olivier2smet2/home/go49gv 1.3.0- better timing and keyboard emulation even at high speed

Need some help with one question. I installed this app a very long time ago. Love the app. Now I want to change a setting, but it is unclear to me where the menu key is. I think it was lower right below the calculator. Now it is not there....

Some of you may have downloaded this to have an HP 50g. This is an HP 49G emulator. A few keys are different. ON - C works. Like all calculators in the HP 49 series, an editor will occasionally hang. When this happens use try quoting the app, going to settings and doing A force stop. Sometimes this with recover the calculator. If it fails do a Deep reset followed by a force stop. Some SRPL programs and some libraries have entry points not found on the HP 49G. Using a library designed for the hp 49g+ or HP 50g may crash just like on the real calculator. User RPL typed in is quite safe. I have enjoyed this emulator and will continue to use it and to experiment. I'm a PRO on the HP 48 and hp 49. As HP advises I make frequent backups. The real calculator crashes as does the emulator. I have made Libraries and saved them to my sdcard with save stack level one. I'm hoping to see an update similar to the one on Go49G+. This update enabled me to use Go49G+ on my ZTE phone.

Keyboard barely works
Great emulator, using it for some 3 years already, never had any problem. Very practical for people used to the HP49. specially the RPN mode.
Screen is frozen
Key presses often do not work in this app. I have to retype my key many times for it to be accepted.. Droid48 keyboard works great! While Droid48 layout does not match my physical HP49g calculator, having a working keyboard is much better for actual use. Same device (Nexus 6), but this app does not work and Droid48 does work. This messed up keyboard on such an expensive program is inexcusable. I wish I had noticed this issue inside my refund window.
Stable and reliable. The only downside is an ugly keyboard bitmap (please take a look at Droid48 keyboard bitmap, for instance). Otherwise worth every penny.
